Live (Vulgia Collaborative)
A concert tour across Europe of improvisation-based performances in collaboration with a variety of local musicians and visual artists. For this show, Néfur (Laura Guarch) will be joined by Manchester-based sound artists Hayley Suviste and Ryan Woods, to create an unique immersive performance, inspired by the musical material of Guarch's most recent release, Vulgia [vulnerable and wild] - featuring processed field recordings, vocals, clarinet, violin, pedals, and synthesisers.Info & Tickets

Join The Manchester Ear and Bothy for a unique singing workshop led by Néfur (Laura Guarch), a renowned Catalan vocalist, composer, and field recordist, at the tranquil Hulme Community Garden Centre.
This workshop invites you to explore embodied listening and engage in guided group vocal improvisations with captivating field recordings. Through this sonic collaboration with the more-than-human world, the human voice becomes one among many voices in the natural world's biophony.
This Manchester edition of the ‘Sen-sing’ workshop is presented by The Manchester Ear and BOTHY.

Navvies Lightwaves Installation
An art installation by Matthew Rosier and featuring music by Hayley Suviste with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, commemorating the labour of the 17,000 navvies who dug the Manchester Ship Canal, opening as part of Lightwaves Festival 2022 (1st – 10th December 2022) at Salford Quays.
