I was selected to participate in Yorkshire Sound Women Network's Sound Pioneers Residency: six selected composers who created original multi-channel audio works during residencies at the University of Huddersfield and the University of Hull this summer. Sound Pioneers is delivered by Yorkshire Sound Women Network (YSWN), working in partnership with the University of Huddersfield, the University of Hull, hcmf//, and Brighter Sound's Both Sides Now programme.
The result of the residency was 'Murmurs', an ambisonic sound work that combines otherworldly digital soundscapes and electroacoustic compositional techniques with the grounding textures of analogue synthesisers, manipulated live instrumentation and processed field recordings.
